Summers? Plural? I'd be happy to settle for this one if it ever arrives hmm

I have one which I acquired in Australia. It is white cotton around some form of hard spongy material which you soak in cold water, which is retained, keeping your neck area cool for some hours. It was invaluable when in the 'Red Centre' at upwards of 40 degrees (along with a head net to keep off the flies!)

I had one in Siem Reap .it was great and also for across head and feet after sightseeing.

Where do you find the crystals jollyg? I can't say I've ever seen them.

Garden centres, as I said local pound shop has them. Cant remember the names they use, just look carefully along the shelves

Now I am in Greece and it is sunny and hot ,I remebered to pack mine, keep it in the fridge .

Also I use them for potting up supermarket basil to grow indoors, keeps them nice and moist in our sunny front room.

Are they just the water retention crystals sold for plant pots? If so they have them on Ebay and in garden centres. I hadn't realized that they had a cooling effect.
I have a couple of neck ties from Tilley Endurables, and they do a great job!
