Anchor Housing

Isn't there an alternative? If your house needs a lot of work and you cannot do it for whatever reason, I can see why you want to move, but if you are both healthy and well, I think you may find a flat in a sheltered setting may be too much of an extreme as an alternative.

You do not say whether you own your house or whether it is rented. If you sell the house, you could probably buy a park home, although this needs to be done with care, or a flat in an ordinary block of flats.

If it is rented privately, the landlord can be compelled to do repairs.

driverann Perhaps if you report your own post GNHQ will move it for you - perhaps to House and Home?

I'm sorry but I have no experience of Anchor Housing, but I'm sure there will be some posters who have.

Driverann, this is the Arts and Crafts thread. You would be more likely to get helpful replies if you posted it on a more suitable thread - maybe the Mods will move it for you? I hope you get some helpful advice.

I hope someone comes along and offers some support for you. Good luck

Do you live in Anchor one bed flat accommodation. We live in a three bed terrace house that needs a fair bit of work doing to it. We have been offered a one bed flat in a sheltered setting. We are both active and healthy. What would you do.? Stay in the house or move to the flat.
