I am going to make one from DGD's first onesies and need some hints about attaching the arms and legs also what to do about eyes to make them safe. I shall put iron on interfacing behind the fabric to stop it stretching. Any other hints?

When I made toys for my children I would make eyes from fabric just to be on the safe side. I also turned the piece inside out to attach the arms and legs if you know what I mean.

I had one made for my DD for mother’s Day rubysong. It’s so lovely . The lady made it from about 10 different outfits/sleepsuits/bibs etc. I’ve attached a photo which was taken through cellophane.

Thank you both. I think I'll go for fabric or embroidered eyes as there will be a new baby in the house in November.

I don't think this one is really meant to be played with rubysong although it does have jointed arms and legs that move.
