Abbreviations what do they mean

Lully5A list of most abbreviations will be found at the top of this page under acronyms. When I see a post that is full of acronyms I find it very difficult to read and make sense of it so avoid it. Good luck!

Lully I hate them too but apparently we need to copy Mumsnet and write in shorthand whilst complaining about kids and text speak and how the English language is lost hilarious ??
I don’t use them myself but have to try and find my way through posts that do

I don't use them either, but as BlueBelle says, some people do.
You will get used to them. I have, mostly.

The D always stands for Dear or Darling.
H is husband
D is daughter
S is son etc.
AC is adult children.
GC is grand children, GD and GS grand son and daughter.
SIL - son in law, or sometimes sister in law.
They're the most commonly used ones.

This either means Original (or Opening) Poster or Original (or Opening) Post.
