Own up was this your work? If so, well done. These are brilliant!
Actually, looks more like crochet but what do I know!?

Where are they. They look great but I always wonder what happens when they get soaked in the rain. Round here we have just a post box which has been covered a while.

I don't know where they are. I was hoping it was the work of some clever 'crafty' Gran. I found the picture in Twitter.

Great bollards! I bet they turn a few heads.

Yes, they are crocheted, but Gransknitters is inspired grin.

They look really great and are very clever, but I would never knit something like that, as yes, they would spoil in the rain, and if I didn't want to make something for me or my family to wear I would knit something more practical for charity.

It's probably to do with the launch of the annual Poppy appeal and Remembrance Ceremonies.

I think they look good and if they help with the sale of poppies that is a bonus.

They look fabulous and always cheer me up when I see them. Sorry I don't know where they are.

They're in Grays in Essex I believe. It was posted yesterday on a FB page for Postbox toppers.

I totally agree Doodledog!

Brush with watered down PVA or ModPodge and they should be resistant to rain in the short-term

Those are brilliant! Well done crafters of Grays!

BTW, can anyone send a link to a knitting pattern for Christmas post box toppers? I’ve googled but although there are masses of photos, I’ve yet to find a pattern.
So much yarn to use up, I’m idly thinking of making one for the PB near Gdcs’ house.

I've got a lovely red felt poppy that I bought in a hand craft shop. I wear it every year and send a donation to the British Legion poppy appeal.
