I don’t feel like sewing up at the moment - dare I admit what I’ve started knitting now?

I have one worry-eating Ted all ready for sewing up and stuffing, ditto a third baby bunny (its basket is finished though) but I’m just not in the mood.

So I’ve just started a shepherd, for yet another N*****ty set, the 3rd to be be destined for Gdcs’ school C*******s fair raffle at the end of November/early December.

In my defence these things are very time consuming so just as well to get going early - that’s my excuse, anyway.

You've just ruined my peaceful, lazy Sunday!! ?

?? Go on, dig it out and get going - you know you want to really!

I find I have to be in the mood to sew up, Witzend. It’s nowhere near as interesting as knitting a new project. Glad to read you’re still making the bunnies.
Loving the super cute cardigan Nannytopsy.

Lovely cardigan. Is it moss stitch as it looks like it. I don't usually knit in the summer but this year I have and am knitting a small white heart cushion.

I had finished my knitting, but put off sewing it up until this afternoon. Now am on the neck band, with the button bands to go. I did buy buttons yesterday, so it will be finished soon.
Previously, it was a jumper. I wore it once, but I didn't like it, so unravelled it and made a cardigan. (Kept me out of mischief).

That's lovely, Nannytopsy. X

I hate sewing up. But like most things I hate but have to do I do it carefully and really rather well.
I’ve really hit on knitting “things that don’t need sewing-up”
So it’s a diet of socks ( ‘cos Kitchener stitch doesn’t count) shawls and top down cardies, jumpers and tops.

Just got to find some buttons for this one sewing up is always a chore for me. New baby due September.

Am I the only one who doesn't mind sewing up?? For me it's the exciting bit where I can see the end in sight and all the bits of knitting/crochet coming together and hopefully looking like whatever it is I tried to make ? The thing I hate more than anything is buttonholes.

That's a lovely little jacket Nannytopsy. Beautiful colour.

Lovely cardis, Nannytopsy and Tanith!

I don’t usually mind sewing up, so something’s gone wrong somewhere. The bunny bits are very fiddly - maybe that’s it.

Poor old Ted isn’t really fiddly, but I’m not sure I can remember where I put the safety eyes - why aren’t I more organised? Eye hunt first thing tomorrow - just CBA tonight.

Will get on with my shepherd while watching something undemanding from the mass of recorded stuff that needs to be deleted. Probably Dalziel and Pascoe or Poirot. And a ?.

That is so nice Tanith. Its lovely knitting for babies!

Nannytopsy Sun 26-Jun-22 19:16:17

Yes Millie it’s moss stitch. A good job it was small!

Moss stitch always makes a warm garment!
