Not a granny yet, but will be in a few weeks. Just wondering if anyone knows what the current thinking is on cot bumpers. I never had them for my children but I know my daughter-in-law has already had a beautiful one made and it is in place round the sides of the cot in readiness for the arrival of their baby. Speaking to a friend yesterday, she told me that they are not recommended due to the dangers of possible overheating or suffocation. Be interested to know if this is a widely held view that I should bring to their attention. Now I know about this - which I have to say had never occurred to me - it's difficult not to raise it. On the other hand, don't want to be a wet blanket (excuse the pun!) before we've even started.
