I stay on here too long first thing in the morning. Too lazy to start on the jobs. hmm

jO5 Wed 02-Jan-13 12:27:57

I think I wil still be putting that 'f' in front of emoticons at Easter now! grin

jO5 Wed 02-Jan-13 12:28:44

I'm annoying you now aren't I jess. With the multiple posts.

I don't think of it all at once. sad

Nanado Wed 02-Jan-13 12:33:32

I can't get into twitter or see the point of it.

Nanado Wed 02-Jan-13 12:33:55

What am I missing? Is it a bit like golf?

Nanado Wed 02-Jan-13 12:35:11

If I start GNetting first thing in the morning I'd never get out of bed.

I'd like to understand more about twitter; not sure how it works but assume that people on it feel the need to tell everyone what they're doing constantly [bit like people with mobile phones stuck to their ears]. However, as my favourite other forums seem to be all 'twittering' these days I need to find out more about it. Info please from twitterers smile. [don't do facebook either]

Well, the trick is, Nanado to leave iPads, laptops etc. downstairs (or somewhere far away from your bedroom) so that you have to get up...
Works for me! wink

crimson Wed 02-Jan-13 12:42:26

Yes, but once you're logged on it's impossible to do any housework/gardening etc. It's like an elastic band or force field that constantly draws you back....[so you might as well stay in bed anyway wink].

Ana Wed 02-Jan-13 12:44:07

I know what you mean....confused I'm at work now and I can't keep off GN confused

crimson Wed 02-Jan-13 12:46:42

I wouldn't dare log on at work. Even though I work on my own most of the time and no one would know I just wouldn't get any work done.

Ana Wed 02-Jan-13 12:48:20

Luckily, (or not), I haven't much on at the moment...wink

Ana Wed 02-Jan-13 12:48:39

I mean work-wise, I hasten to add! blush

jO5 Wed 02-Jan-13 12:53:52

grin Ana

I mostly follow the Merlin Fans on Twitter. It's quite fun. Don't tweet much myself. (you can get yourself into trouble quite easily if you say the wrong thing. Those fans take it very seriously! hmm)

crimson Wed 02-Jan-13 12:58:42

J; the headline bit says 'anal mostly follow the merlin fans on twitter'...blush

crimson Wed 02-Jan-13 12:59:43

I often get sucked into a thread by seeing the most peculiar first few words of it.

NanaNel Wed 02-Jan-13 13:00:23

I am at work but everyone seems to be in the "getting back in the mood mode"
Two staff sick one flooded so decided I may as well browse on here. I really will get on tomorrow. grin

Ana Wed 02-Jan-13 13:01:29

What headline bit...?

jO5 Wed 02-Jan-13 13:02:26

Oh yes!!!! I see what you mean!!!!

grin Yes. probably appropriate. grin

Are you on an i-pad or something fancy like that?

jO5 Wed 02-Jan-13 13:03:06

Ana followed by 'I' - Anal See?

crimson Wed 02-Jan-13 13:05:55

Oh it's gone now; has been bumped [shunted?] down. Phew.

Ana Wed 02-Jan-13 13:07:46

Oh - I only look at Active.

crimson Wed 02-Jan-13 13:11:39

I always click on 'last hour'. Heck; I do need to go into work for a bit but that means having to look human; better start now, could take a while.

RockNanny Wed 02-Jan-13 23:39:33

Hahahaha! Just been reading through this thread. It's like Michael Jackson singing in my ear 'You are not alonnnnnnne' grin.

My usual 'fix' is Facebook but my FB friends have been pretty quiet over Christmas and since. I guess they must have lives blush. A couple of years back I was a regular on the forums on my favourite band's website. Then the site was suddenly taken offline with no explanation and no apology sad. I felt bereft. I used to spend all evening on the forums sometimes and gradually folk would log off and go to bed, leaving just yours truly and the tumbleweeds. When I was deprived of my 'fix' I told myself it was a blessing in disguise and I should get on with other stuff. Well I did! Life made sure of that and it was a very difficult time for me. Then a while ago I found Facebook and now I'm always on it. Well, I guess there are worse addictions than social media, eh smile?

cheelu Wed 02-Jan-13 23:50:19

yes defently RockNanny I think most people have gone to bed, lazy lot ha ha
