I havent so far. I dont think that I would mainly due to my personal beliefs and I dont think I could deal with it emotionally.

But it would be intersting to find out if people have and what drove them to do it and if they think it was a good decision or not.

Did my straying while married to first husband, with second husband. First husband earned a great deal of money and neither I, nor the children, benefitted from it. We didn't have much sex either. Money and sex are supposed to be the two main causes of marital breakdown. Was never unfaithful to darling Mr. Flower.

Did my 'straying' before meeting DH. blush Decided he was the best and didn't need to bother with anyone else. wine

Before my DH and I were married we discussed the possibility and we both agreed that if it did happen there would be no second chances. I never met anyone I was willing to risk losing my DH for.

As for DH, he was once asked if he would stray and his reply was that he could only fight one battle at a time!!

The thought has never crossed my mind, there is only room for one mr.glamma in my lifetime, but it doesn't stop me admiring an attractive man.The thought of getting used to someone else's habits frighten's me to death to be honest.

Yes, during first marriage, (but long story) definitely not, never, no how now!

I was tempted once, but I knew and liked his wife so it was obviously a non starter. I had a nice toy boy at one time, but living in the country there would have been no hope of keeping it quiet so it seemed wiser not to get too involved.

I was but he wasn't. Though I did have my Jezebel period when I escaped. Now with my lovely second DH and the thought never crosses my mind.

Nope. My father was a serial womaniser and that was enough to put me off infidelity for ever - seeing the pain and devastation it caused in ours and his successive relationships.

Never, it`s enough coping with one man without getting tangled up with another!

NfkDumpling Thu 31-Jan-13 22:32:29

Never felt the need. Wouldn't have been able to anyway - no memory and a terrible liar.

annodomini Thu 31-Jan-13 22:25:45

I didn't; he did. Enough said.

Nonu Thu 31-Jan-13 22:20:30

Oh , gosh when I said i took my vows 42 years , it doesn"t mean to say I did not hve offers , but I chose not to take them up .

Mey Thu 31-Jan-13 22:19:46

maxdrans both my Grand Fathers were un faithful and would be around 90 now had they lived this long

maxdrans Thu 31-Jan-13 22:12:01

I. too have been faithful but l think it is our generation thing the young these days seem to have a different moral outlook on marriage vows my family included

Grannyknot Thu 31-Jan-13 22:10:59

Not difficult to work out, absent, it means squeal.

absent Thu 31-Jan-13 22:08:42

What does squell mean?

Ana Thu 31-Jan-13 22:06:28

Mey, anyone on the internet can view this site, and as much as we may try to protect our identities by usernames etc., if someone is determined to track someone down it is possible.

So it's not a case of anyone on here telling on us - it can be wise to be a bit circumspect.

Mishap Thu 31-Jan-13 22:06:25

I had my offers - but took my vows seriously; and the well-being of my children; and the fact that I regard fidelity as the most important thing in stability in society.

Tegan Thu 31-Jan-13 22:03:35

Was totally faithful for 30 years to someone who left me for someone else. Looking back I sometimes wish I had strayed [there were plenty of opportunities] but it wasn't in my nature.

Nonu Thu 31-Jan-13 21:40:02

A Big NO No when I took my vows 42 years ago, I meant it.

glassortwo Thu 31-Jan-13 21:28:28

Mey I agree with baubles not sure anyone will admit it, but no I haven't.

Mey Thu 31-Jan-13 21:27:16

I did think that but its not like anyone is going to squell, well I dont think so.

jeni Thu 31-Jan-13 21:26:24

I can honestly say no!

baubles Thu 31-Jan-13 21:24:32

hmm Mey, not altogether sure anyone would confess all on here!
