I dont know if anyone else feels this way but I do really enjoy my time on GN and if I am on here and someone tries to distract me or wishes to speak to me I am not happy.

I just feel so guilty and feel that I should be doing something else like the shopping or cleaning etc. instead of chatting on GN, but WHY do I feel so guilty.

I get annoyed with myself for not spending some of the time reading my book. Refuse to feel guilty about lack of housework so long as the important bits are hygienic.

Exercise should be attended to though.

When you get to our age you should do what you enjoy - the whole of the rest of your life will have been spent pleasing others: bosses, family. What;'s the harm of a bit of a chat? - none at all. Enjoy! B****r guilt!

I agree Mishap. the problem is I am supposed to be working now

Still don't feel guilty though! shock

Oh dear, now I feel guilty that I don't feel guilty ;)

I say...give up guilt for Lent! It's a lot easier than giving up chocolate or wine grin

What I want to know is, who is guilty of making nanapug feel guilty about not feeling guilty grin

I've given up Lent!

Guilt is the most destructive of emotions and must be banished forthwith!!

Nelliemoser Thu 14-Feb-13 16:34:42

I agree with all of the above. grin
I certainly don't feel gulity! Annoyed at times as I haven't done other things or I have made myself late or burnt a pan etc. I am retired! This is what its about!

I am not retired though Neilliemoser and still don't feel in the slightest bit guilty. My DH and I run our own business and I am frequently alone in the office. GN keeps me company and dipping in throughout the day is like chatting with an old good friend. smile

Rosewk, You have made a lot of postings today and as I do not recognise your name I assume you are a new member so, welcome and keep posting. I have really enjoyed reading your contributions today.

I find the problem with Gransnet is that I dip in for 10 minutes or so and when I log out 10 minutes later i discovered that the 10 minutes has lsted an hour.

I'm feeling guilty (even though I restrict my GN activity to Fridays to prevent addiction) because I've just realised I've left the iron on for the last half hour. I'm not going to feel guilty about ironing either as it was really necessary for once!
Now I've just realised it's Thursday, so extra reason to feel guilty!!!

I don`t feel guilty, just resentment that I can`t get on here more often!
