Evening all, hope you are well.

I need (not want, really need) some new PJ's. What I'm looking for is proper ones, with buttons on the jacket, not the T shirt material ones, and not flannelette. (My current pairs have been with me longer than Mr P shock and the elastic had gone in one pair blush )

I would like cotton or a cotton mix, and for some odd reason I fancy a blue stripe, but that is not essential.

I have looked on various sites (M&S , BHS, Debenhams, John Lewis etc) but the only ones that I have found are between £30 & £50 shock

Any advice, anyone?

Are you intending to wear them to the office?hmm

york46 Tue 19-Mar-13 21:00:06

Have you tried TKMax?

Anne58 Tue 19-Mar-13 21:02:46

grin

I probably won't be going to the office too often, as I will be covering Devon & Cornwall and the main office is somewhere near Manchester!

Having said that, at the job I had before Mystery Shoppers, I did once host a morning meeting in my pyjamas, with hot water bottle and a teddy bear.....

Comic Relief? confused

Anne58 Tue 19-Mar-13 21:07:32

No Ana just felt they needed a slightly different approach!

At the time I was Monday to Friday, but we were launching a new initiative, so I came in on a Saturday in my PJ's in an effort to show that the new programme was important enough to get me out of bed on my day off!

(Still had full metal jacket make-up wise though!)

are men's p.j.s cheaper? Or boys if you are shorter and smaller. You can always sew up the lower half opening.Just a thought if looking nice isn't all that important.

Ana Tue 19-Mar-13 21:10:22

See - it's that sort of initiative that got you the job! grin

You can get brilliant pyjamas in Peacocks £10 a pair brushed cotton in all kinds of patterns. I have been buying them for years for my youngest daughter and she loves them.

Found this site, but can't see prices.
turquaz pyjamas

Anne58 Tue 19-Mar-13 21:57:02

Thanks Twice and shysal both look like the sort of style I want, but they are brushed cotton (flannelette/winceyette). I'm looking for ones in sort of shirt type material.

shysal Tue 19-Mar-13 22:07:46

or these.

Anne58 Tue 19-Mar-13 22:11:08

Those look good shysal doesn't say if they are brushed (i.e. flannelette) or not, but they are the right price!

Thank you!

shysal Tue 19-Mar-13 22:14:17

You can ask a question before buying. Good luck. Also congrats flowers

merlotgran Tue 19-Mar-13 22:20:09

Thanks, shysal. I've just bought a pair.

M&S Outlet had some 'proper' cotton ones, they were mix and match with the buttoned top more like a short (ish) nightshirt. I'm after long cotton nighties as I'm coming out of my PJ phase smile .

Anne58 Tue 19-Mar-13 23:18:18

I always seem to get tangled up in long nightdresses!

(Usually prefer to sleep naked, but since putting on the weight I try not to inflict the worst of my cellulite on Mr P.)

PS Oldgreymare a friend swears by the David Napier range of night wear, but a bit pricey for me!

Oldgreymare Tue 19-Mar-13 23:25:35

Thanks Phoenix bit pricey for me too ( and please don't kiss Frank, I'm sure he won't turn into a handsome prince!)
I did buy some nice ones a few years ago, when I had another nightdress phase, white cotton lawn with a bit of lace or embroidery (white too). The really long ones tend to 'stay put'.

Anne58 Tue 19-Mar-13 23:27:55

Perhaps I'm a bit of a wriggler!
