I understand as my daughter needed very little sleep from infancy and still doesn't aged 46!

In addition to the suggestions above I would have thought he would enjoy any of the Michael Morpugo books for older children, e.g. War Horse, Kensuke's Kingdom.

You might try the Cressida Cowell dragon books, e.g. 'How to Train your Dragon'. There are about 10 in the series.

'Goodnight Mr Tom' by Michelle Magorian is another good story.

There are kindle editions of many titles now.

Lots of David Walliams books are on CD, also Roal Dahl.

Just a thought -all 'screen' time should stop an hour before bed time as it makes the brain very active and wind down time is needed.

Hope that's helpful.

One of my DGSs (10) has never been good at going to bed, never mind going to sleep. He likes to have an audio CD, such as The Hobbit, or one of the Harry Potter series, either of which would be good for your GS.
