What to give to a couple who were both married before and shared a house for last ten years? They say they want nothing, just a good time but we would nevertheless like to give something memorable or a treat. Any of you been in this situation? Would appreciate your advice.

Hi waldorfgrosi, could you give a donation to charity? Perhaps they have had a close relative who has suffered with a particular illness and that might be close to their heart.

I would give them an experience of some kind there are lots of things available, such as High Tea at Claridges or similar venue depending on where they live of course. Most towns have a 'posh' place to eat that you probably wouldn't treat yourself to.

Tickets for a show or an event? Club together with others to treat them with a weekend break? Voucher for a pub meal?

Thanks for all your suggestions. I should have said that the couple lives in rural Wales. If any of you know of a fairly local treat or experience I would be grateful as we live in a different part of the country.

To advise on a 'local' treat you need to be a bit more specific with the area they live, rural Wales could mean anything.

Take 'em out to the theatre, or for a meal, or both.

How about a voucher for a canvas print of one of their wedding photos?
