Keeping my shoes on!

Previously Ive never been able to work out how to start a subject so if this has popped up somewhere it shouldn't, you have my apologies!

I have got a rather nice 'do' coming up & although I tend to live in comfortable shoes, I did buy a beautiful pair of heeled shoes as they looked so nice & actually seemed comfortable. However, whilst one fits snugly the other slips up & down. Please, has anyone got the answer? With previous shoes I have tried the suede type heel grips (which either don't work or the heel grip peels off the shoe) or various gel & foam insoles but these just seem to make my feet look swollen & lumpy, not very attractive! Surely there must be some remedy for this problem?

Do hope someone can help (& I know how to find the answers to this!)

As Teetime says, try a half-inner in just the too-big shoe. My Dd has v narrow feet and for school shoes she often needed a half inner in one and sometimes both shoes.

I find the heel grips plus a half inner in one shoe used to work for me (one foot larger than the other!!).
