Hi I was reading the thread about hunger pangs and saw the recommendation for Diet Doctor. I've looked it up and I am wondering if it's safe it sounds great but I don't want to end with heart disease. I hope someone can help maybe have tried or have some medical thoughts about its safety it sounds a lot like another one that was around a few years ago which caused controversy about its safety so help please. I don't know when this extra weight crept on but it's here and it has to go somehow.

This is the current low carb support thread. If you have the time to read them all you can also find the previous threads under dieting and exercise.
I have heard nothing but success stories about this regime. Note that it is low rather than no carb, so is probably better than the old Atkins diet which you may be thinking of.

Mary954 just click on the blue link above and we will be very pleased to help. Both my husband and I have been on this way of eating for two and a half years now, a year to lose weight and eighteen months maintaining the loss. We have both seen a significant drop in cholesterol, my BP has gone down to a level which means that my doctor took me off medication and I can honestly say I have never felt so healthy. As others have said it is low-carb not no carb and contains a lot of the elements of the Mediterranean diet as well. There are lots of good news stories on the thread.
