My DGD, who turned 3 in August, asked me,
"Grandma, is it two mice but one mouse?"
"Yes sweat heart".
"And two geese but one goose?"
"That's right. Clever girl".
"And two foxes but one fock?"
"Ahh".

My Godson once said that as he wasn't very hungry, he would just have a Weetabick for breakfast, and my eldest DS once declared that he thought he might have an earwack!

When I was cleaning my DS's ears in the bath (long, long ago). I told him it was to get rid of the wax.

'What's a wack?' he asked!

My GS always comments on people in the rain with their "underbrellas".

Charleygirl Fri 04-Nov-16 10:38:54

Like N&G I also laughed out loud, thinking that the reply was hilarious, so innocent.

My daughter aged about 7 or 8 very grumpily reading a school book - "What the heck is a 'pig-ee-on' anyway?!" - It's a pigeon darling.

My daughter aged four, commenting on a snail climbing up a wall - "Oh look, he's got his testicles out!", sounds painful to me.

Our eldest daughter at two years old when shown a 'hedgehog' had her own word for it as an 'age og'.Even years later we would always say oh look there's an age og for any hedgehog we observed in our garden

AlieOxon Fri 04-Nov-16 12:28:11

A friend of my sister's - not a child, but a woman well into her 60s at the time - whilst reading a recipe, once asked "What's 'man get out'?"
