Going to watch Kris Kristofferson when the cricket has finished. Looking forward to Ed Sheeran and Barry Gibb particularly.

durhamjen Fri 23-Jun-17 20:32:20

It's a good thing to listen to while on here. You don't feel like you are missing anything while typing.

durhamjen Fri 23-Jun-17 21:23:08

I see there's a new word now, Jeremania.

gillybob Fri 23-Jun-17 23:25:46

Kris Kristofferson is one of my all time favourites. I saw him many times in the 80' and 90's and Felt sad watching him looking so frail .

Willow500 Sat 24-Jun-17 06:17:02

I'll be watching the Foo Fighters tonight. Glasto has never really appealed to me before as it's not my sort of music but the last couple of years they've had some better bands on. At least the weather is good this year!!

kittylester Sat 24-Jun-17 06:42:21

I was sad to see him so frail too gilly but there were flashes of the young man there and the voice was good considering he is 81. I think I'll have to YouTube some old performances. Who was the girl singing with him - she had a good voice which complimented his well. Johnny Depp seemed as though he was trying to help too.

gillybob Sat 24-Jun-17 07:18:45

I remembered him in A star is a Born (the version with Barbra Streisand) kittylester when he was absolutely gorgeous. I agree there were still a few flashes of his younger self and his voice was surprisingly good for his age. I had thought he was mid 70's by now but 81? Blimey. Surprised to see Johnny Depp up on stage with him and I agree that girls singer had a lovely voice although can't find anything about her as yet.

kittylester Sat 24-Jun-17 07:51:59

He was absolutely gorgeous gilly and quite a bad boy. He was 81 on 22nd June. I really loved The Highwaymen too!

Love the politics on display!!!

At long last the young have woken up

Any possibility of having a Glasto thread without the politics, hmm?

I can't believe KK is 81! Enough to make one feel old kitty ?

kittylester Sat 24-Jun-17 10:59:17

Kk is considerably older that I!! grin

My favourite sil is called Kristoffer - his mum is a huge fan.

Michael Eavis is 81, too, and looking forward to the cheer he gets when he leads Corbyn on stage.
The biggest hippy of the lot.

rosesarered Sat 24-Jun-17 14:41:13

Will they be holding hands?

Riverwalk Sat 24-Jun-17 14:45:55

DS, DDIL & DGC are there again - I'll ask them.

DDIL will raise a cheer for Corbyn; DS is not so keen!

shysal Sat 24-Jun-17 14:58:53

SIL, DGS1 and DGS2 are there to see the Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran in particular. Wonder whether they will bump into the Beckham family who are all there. Doubt they will be camping with the hoy polloi though.

gillybob Sat 24-Jun-17 15:02:29

Of for goodness sake I was enjoying this thread until it had to (as per usual ) turn political .

I saw the Highwaymen tour kittylester (Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson) . One of my best concerts ever !
