Nightdresses

What has happened to nightdresses. I don't want the really old fashioned pale blues and pinks yet, I don't want short nighties and sadly I don't like pyjamas.
I am looking for mid-calf nighties in say t-shirt fabric, bold colours and patterns. There are lots of lovely short above the knee nighties in M&S and Cyberjammies, but sadly nothing that I want to buy in the longer length.
Am I going to have to get the sewing machine out and actually have a go at making one?
Am I the only granny who likes this mid-calf length?

I wanted a satin longer length nightdress as I can't abide being hot in bed (blame the menopause!!) I looked in the high street stores, but could not find what I was looking for. I finally found one on Amazon, ordered it and when it arrived was perfect. It took a bit of trawling through the pages, I think there were about 40 of them, but it was worth it!

I have had one of these from John Lewis and found it comfortable

That looks nice and comfy wildswan

I've been wearing pyjamas in the very cold weather but I can't say that they feel that comfortable

Try looking on www.simplybe.co.uk/ you might find something, I’ve been happy with some underwear I got from there

Try Landsend. I have had several of theirs which are available in both short and calf-length versions and at the moment there are some on offer for £14.

In Summer I am too hot to wear anything (TMI) grin but otherwise I wear a full slip, which acts as a nightie but looks pretty with a lacy top and spahetti straps. You can buy these in M&S or Debenhams or virtually anywhere and in all lengths , short, mid calf or long.

I wear just such nighties. I buy them from Landsend. Oh, someone has already mentioned them.

Stonehaven. I recently was on a mission to find a midlength cotton nightie and almost gave up until.....
I popped into my local TK Maxx. Lo and behold a white, pure cotton nightie, mid length, short sleeves -everything I required - for the princely sum of £14.99. A real find.

I'm happy with the length of the M&S t-shirt nighties at the knee. However, most of them now have very wide necks (as do jumpers and t-shirts). For those of us with narrow shoulders they just don't fit properly and are cold and uncomfortable.

I absolutely love the Gorgeous range from Debenhams. They do nice knee length strappy camisole/nighties in jersey fabric but they have an inbuilt shelf (for want of a better description)to hold up my ‘ample frontage’ . I also have the pyjama versions for the winter. I love both styles
