Nail cutting

If this were where I live I’d prefer mornings but after the rush hour as traffic around here is not good till after 10am, take the local area into account.

This may not be helpful Rexdog12 but as someone over 60 with more health issues than you would believe..........and an extreme difficulty in attending to my toe nail cutting on my feet..........I would welcome your class any day and time of the week,perhaps adding the rider .......not before 10 am!
Simply because it takes me an age to get myself presentable these days!!
I wish someone as enterprising as yourself would open up such a facility in my area.

I agree mid morning would suit me too. I struggle for various reasons to leave the house before 10ish and wouldn't want to be going out mid-late afternoon especially when the nights draw in. It's an effort to arouse myself at that time and I just want to relax after a busy day.
Those grans that do school runs and after school care would need it to fit in too.

Thanks for thoughts so far. I agree with late morning, and had thought about 10 - 2? Think this works for most? And does the day of the week count eg would midweek be more popular than Mon or Fri?

What a coincidence, I have someone coming to the house this week to cut my and my daughter`s toenails, as neither f us can manage it anymore. I would have preferred mid morning if I was going out to have them done, but seeing as she`s coming here it doesn`t really matter. She is charging us £20 each, is that reasonable?

I can still cut my own nails, but used to visit a podiatrist monthly to trim my corns etc. Mornings were best.

Hi callgirl, I trained with the local authority podiatry team, they trained people to work in the community as the NHS don't do routine nail cutting in our area any more. We offer affordable nail cutting and hard skin smoothing, but the feet have to be 'normal'. Ie no thickened nails or corns. It's for routine nail cutting for those who can't cut their own maybe can't bend, grip, or have poor sight etc. We charge £15 to £20 so that's a fair price. A chiropody service, if you can get a visiting one would charge up to double because they are degree trained.

I agree with others, after 10am and maybe 2-230pm being the latest because of evenings drawing in also so that you are not hitting school pick ups. Any day would be fine I would have thought. That is an excellent idea. I can reach my feet but cannot see my nails so it is usually a bloody business here!

My husband has a podiatrist who comes to the house, she charges thirty nine pounds. I think that’s because she is fully qualified. So your twenty pounds sounds extremely reasonable to me!

My OH always says that the toenail cutting services resulted in lots of patients with quite serious infections visiting his surgery a few days later!!

Lucky girl that's not very helpful and not what I asked for. The service I provide has never to my knowledge resulted in any infections for any of my customers and I have many regulars.

I think £20 is quite expensive. For £22 I have a full pedicure with polish applied in addition to nail trimming, lower leg massage etc in a spotless treatment room with a very well trained therapist. Nevertheless, good luck with your enteprise.

The chiropodist came today, and charged me £30 for the 2 of us, so not bad, and she did a lovely job.

The Health Care Assistant at our local surgery has been trained to cut toenails for which the charge is £15 per session. I like to have mine done roughly every 4 -6 weeks. If I want a full-scale pedicure I go to a salon to get my feet well prepared for the sandal-wearing season.
