Not me thankfully, but Dd2 has spilt nail varnish on her bedroom carpet. Anyone got any magic answers?

Thank you!

Nail varnish remover?
Then scrub with soapy water?

(test the nv remover on a tiny patch first!)

I've suggested the non acetone one - tested under the bed!

Might also depend on carpet. A synthetic one might melt.

According to a couple sites (Googled) hairspray or window cleaner can do the trick. Worth a try as I wouldn't think either would damage the carpet.

Let it dry. Then get an old-fashioned razor blade and carefully scrape it off.

How did I learn this? The hard way!

I admit it was clear varnish that I spilt so it wasn't so hard to remove as it didn't really show too much in the first place.

Good luck!

Me C cleaned nail polish from my parents carpet with acetone many years ago, before we married. Got him loads of brownie points. Worth a try he thinks, but test carefully first. Good luck.
