AIBU I’m new to gransnet - What would you do if your grandchildren came back from a visit with their father and his girlfriend on Boxing Day with blue and pink hair? The DGDs are aged two and seven. I’m so ?

Is it hair chalk/temporary? If so its a common gift for those ages and usually applied at start of school hols so it washes out by end of hols.

Its sort of "because we can while not at school" ritual that lots of kids enjoy.

Wash it?

Bloody furious is what I would be but it could be worse, my cousins ex husbands partner cut inches off her little girls hair because their brothers had been to the barbers with their dad and she felt left out apparently, by the time my cousin had taken her to get it sorted it was practically up to her ears!
An already fraught situation has now become so much, worse, the children of course still see their father but his now wife isn't given permission to so much as breath on them ?

I see it as akin to face paints, temporary tattoos, nail varnish etc.

Fine at the START of school hols but I would be annoyed if a child was returned to me on a Sunday night before school on Monday & no time to soak it off!

Mid hols: no probs.

I am assuming the father of said children had an opinion and agreed with the hair colouring

Two washes and still didn’t come out. its some sort of spray. Came off alright on the children’s hands and clothes though!

Bellanonna Fri 28-Dec-18 22:06:21

Oh no, that’s bad, ProudNanna. Hope you don’t have to buy new clothes?

?
Anyone know when the January term starts?

ProudNanna Fri 28-Dec-18 22:13:57

DD is angry but too intimidated by ex. SiL’s Fluzy is 10 years younger, of course, and treats the DGDs like dollies. I cant see anything right in dying a two year olds hair.

oldbatty Fri 28-Dec-18 22:17:44

Whats a Fluzy

Lisagran Fri 28-Dec-18 22:19:35

Persistent............

Farmor15 Fri 28-Dec-18 22:20:36

I’d spell it “floozy” but it’s one of those words you’re more likely to say than write so may have different spellings.

Mapleleaf Fri 28-Dec-18 22:20:42

7th January! ?
