Ok, Im nearly 69, and am still in possession of all my pubic hair. - but it seems that modern fashion means we should all be naked as the day we were born! From what I read/see etc online in the papers, TV, nearly all younger women have decided that pubic hair is no longer in vogue!! My dilemma is ,as far as medical stuff goes, I feel a bit foolish (and dare I say it-dirty) for still having mine!! Most of the nursing staff, doctors etc are much younger, and I feel they may look at me in a "grubby" way when I have been in hospital etc. Do any of you older ladies still have what god intended ??

Most people wear pants - paper or real under their nighties in hospital!

Is this for real?

oldbatty Sat 29-Dec-18 15:57:34

Dye it and plait it, the only way to go.

I assume Ladyinspain means when they have to examine you for some gynae investigation, or even something like a colonoscopy.
I still have mine, though it's got a bit thinner with age.

You know, overall I really enjoy Gransnet, but this type of thread makes me want to leave GN altogether. I’m certainly not a prude / have an active love life - but this sort of thread is making fools of us all surely?

Anniebach Sat 29-Dec-18 16:09:50

I haven’t seen anyone on tv with or without pubic hair on display

Anniebach Sat 29-Dec-18 16:10:58

Not getting a pleasure to visit the forum

I don't think that you will shock any medical professionals being as God intended but a bit of a tidy up would be my way to go.

merlotgran Sat 29-Dec-18 16:12:03

No comment hmm

MawBroon Sat 29-Dec-18 16:12:05

If you are having a colonoscopy surely pubic hair is the last thing on your mind grin

oldbatty Sat 29-Dec-18 16:21:35

If you feel dirty, you are going to get a whole load dirtier.

I think beard glitter is the way to go - well I have anyway.

Poppyred Sat 29-Dec-18 16:37:11

Is this post for real? Or are you just bored??

Bridgeit Sat 29-Dec-18 16:52:02

It’s there for a reason, but sometimes needs a trim just like any other bush

Lisagran Sat 29-Dec-18 17:00:39

I agree Anniebach

BBbevan Sat 29-Dec-18 17:04:31

Thread flowers through it Look at the Peter Blake painting of Titania for ideas .

Chewbacca Sat 29-Dec-18 17:06:24

I'm bored now.

You don't watch the right programmes- try Naked Attraction. (I discovered it through Gogglebox- but I've never managed to watch a whole episode) Warning- it's not for the faint hearted!

BlueBelle Sat 29-Dec-18 17:31:02

Ohhh here we go, here we go, here we go again

PECS Sat 29-Dec-18 17:31:48

If you shower before your hospital appointment you won't be dirty! Our pubic hair is there to protect our delicate "bits & pits" ..so by exfoliating the area people are more liable to infection than a hairy mary that is washed daily!

Beau Sat 29-Dec-18 17:36:39

Well said PECS - I worry about this generation and their strange desire to look pre-pubescent.

Cherrytree59 Sat 29-Dec-18 17:37:44

I prefer a neatly trimmed purple bush.
As it's at the front DH has added a few festive bits?

Beau Sat 29-Dec-18 17:41:59

?

We are too old and should be past caring what anyone thinks. Imagine the pressure on 20 year olds! Smile, and get in with your life ?
