I would like to know which products to use to make my sparse eyebrows thicker and darker.

Benefit Gimme Brow is good. A bit expensive, but works on my very fair eyebrows.

Clinique, I’ve tried others but always go back to that one

I too regret all that overplucking!

I have read that if you leave your eyebrows unplugged for 12 weeks they grow back. It has been 13 weeks and I have a few extra hairs.......they are all grey ? (rest of my eyebrows are brown)

I use a brown eyeshadow and a nice thin brush with a slant to it from Superdrug I think.

Rapidbrow serum works to thicken and encourage re-growth.

It's not necessarily over plucking - I have never plucked my eyebrows apart from the very occasional stray, and I had nicely shaped, good eyebrows until a few years ago - now they are very sparse.
I like Gimme Brow as well, but Clinique is quicker for everyday.

I use gimme brow from benefit too, only when I’m going out of course..... I love it!

I have mine shaped about twice a year, using wax which has worked well in keeping stray hairs under control. I have a tint put on to disguise the white hairs. I've had to delay the treatment because of an accident I had in March when I got a nasty gash in the corner of my left eyebrow and it has taken time to heal.

You can have them semipermanently tattooed back on. I think it is not too expensive. My Mil has it done. They look very natural.

Brown eyeshadow for me ,very natural looking.

We've got this page on how to fix thin eyebrows in case it's helpful?

M0nica Thu 04-Jul-19 09:47:17

I have my eyebrows shaped and tinted, it works very well.

I use benefit brow this way. Nice young man in boots did a demo. Worth the cost.

Eyebrows - what are they?

Theoddbird Thu 04-Jul-19 10:54:53

I have sparse brows...I just live with them... I think I would look odd with brows now...

NYX Microbrow pencil. Comes in various shades, as a Clairol assisted mid-brunette I use Ash Brown.

Also look on YouTube for make up videos on how to do eyebrows.

One thing I will say is that once I started tinting my grey eyebrows to a nice dark colour it made me look at least 5 years younger (I'd like to say 10 but I think I'd be exaggerating).

Rosina Thu 04-Jul-19 11:03:39

I had what was left of my eyebrows tinted and the eyebrow area tidied up with a small amount of waxing. What a difference! (WHY did we pluck them away - mine were quite decent!) I go every five weeks; it takes about ten minutes and isn't expensive, and in between I fill in the sparse bits with a soft pencil that has a small comb/brush on the end - Boots No.7. My brows have definitely thickened slightly which is probably due to my leaving them to the expert instead of plucking out a few strays and making the damage worse.

Thicker frames on your glasses! Works for me, my pathetic eyebrows hide behind the plastic!

I found Palladio's Brow Obsessed mousse with fibres (medium/dark) recently and it is excellent; they do not test any of their ingredients or finished products on animals either.

“Brows That” by Boots Seventeen range, my daughter found it for me !

My old friend in her 90s has no eyebrows any more, so she draws a long line from one side of where they used to be to the other. Looks like Marlene Dietrich. No eyebrows look better. I have not plucked mine for 50 years and still have lovely thickish ones.

Grandmabeach Thu 04-Jul-19 11:35:29

Never plucked mine but have lost part of my eyebrows through hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). Will definitely follow some of the previous tips.
