Can anyone recommend a simple app for managing your finances, please? My bank does not offer such a system.
I am still managing my finances (and the joint household expenses) in a book, with the aid of pen, paper and calculator and it's an imperfect system!
I would like a simple app, on which I could record my financial incomings and outgoings. Do such things exist? Would anyone recommend the system they use?
I would hope for something simple to set up and straightforward to use.
As I now do the majority of my shopping on line, I would like to have it on my iPad and be able to access it from my phone too?
Am I asking the impossible?
I am not very tech savvy (can slowly work my way around an excel spreadsheet) therefore all advice gratefully received.

You could Google money managing apps to see if there’s one you like the sound of?

why not use an Excel spreadsheet? or if not Excel, Open Office, you can play around with it and have it do exactly what you want, plenty of online guides 'how to'

I use Excel its brilliant for keeping track but you do need to learn how to set up a spreadsheet - one of the best things a junior colleague taught me some years ago.

I would stick with pen and paper!

Me too ilovecheese. Works for me so I don’t plan on fixing it smile. There are volunteer IT helpers at our library nortsat who are there for a chat about anything technical and will set up spreadsheets if asked. If your area has anything similar that could work. Other than that I’m not sure. There will be someone along with techy knowledge who can help more I’m sure. Good luck.

A simple Excel spreadsheet can be adapted to your needs

Another supporter of Excel spreadsheets. You can design it to be just how you want it.

I have looked at budgetting software, but they never do exactly what I want in the way I want to do it.

I use Microsoft Money Plus on my laptop. It was free when I downloaded it.
You can add all your income and outgoings and there is also a useful cash flow graph to plan ahead.
