cleaning makeup brush

Hello lovely grans, can anyone offer advice? My DD has been using one of those makeup brushes with a dip in the middle to apply liquid foundation. She washes it out after each rinse but now it seems to be full of residual makeup and she just can't get it all out, so the brush is becoming hard and stiff when dry.

Has anyone used a proprietary cleaner, or other method successfully?

Any advice gratefully received!

I'm sure I've heard that baby shampoo is good.

I use my ordinary shampoo and wash out regularly.

I use an ordinary foundation brush and wash it regularly with liquid soap and rinse well with warm water
