Following on from another recent thread, just thought I’d mention.
Look out for opportunities and maybe report back.
Be extra kind to yourself too xxx

I would like to think I am kind to every one that I meet every day it takes a lot for me to be upset with anyone.
Today I will pass on a bowl of homemade soup to my old gentleman neighbour I always send him extra's that are left over.

No I didn't. Will see if I can do anything today but that's assuming I actually see anyone! I like the idea of paying it forward, you never know when you could be grateful for such a gesture. X

Paying it forward is always a good kind hearted gesture Daisymae

Oh thanks for the heads up Stoker. I think I'm usually kind, but I'll try even harder today, and be on the alert for opportunities smile

Stoker48
Will try extra hard today

Made my DH a cake (I don't eat cake) before I had my breakfast. Does that count?

I prefer the idea of feel good Friday and try to do it every week. In the village where I used to live the local florist used to put small arrangements out for people to come across as they walked or shopped. I first discovered it when I hadn't enough change to park up and someone paid it for me and said "Its feel good Friday, pass it on". I've since done the same thing, small gestures, big impact.

I had no idea. I'll do my best but as I probably won't see anyone today it could be tricky.

Elegran Mon 17-Feb-20 11:27:16

You could always catch up tomorrow, Henetha

This Country, anyone?grin
Kerry's Random Acts of Kindness were superb! Didn't quite work out as planned, but sooooo entertaining!

henetha Mon 17-Feb-20 11:32:55

Yes, I'm going shopping tommorow so I'll look for an opportunity. I've received many acts of kindness in my life and it's good to pass it on.

I have shopped for my lovely MIL......hmm that doesn't seem quite 'special' enough, will have to see what else I can do smile

Stoker48 Mon 17-Feb-20 12:32:43

Thanks, everyone. X
Good to be kind, whenever and whatever.
I’m zoning in on the word “ random” so I’m going out looking for opportunities, as well as doing a few thought out in advance ones.
smile

Haven't seen anyone today so far, but my lovely neighbour has put back one of my fence panels that couldn't stand the gales. I guess that means I'm a beneficiary.

Why limit kindness to one particular day of the year? I like to try to do something kind most days - as Warden of a sheltered housing scheme, it's part of my job, but I like to help others whenever I can.

Actually feeling very down and could do with a few random acts of kindness myself. Dgd going home tomorrow after flight cancellation on Saturday. Last minute train and plane costing a fortune and suspect her parents will"forget" to pay it when the original flight is reembursed as they are so busy. Also just realised that her mother has been working in London for over a year and has never given me her address.
I think I will go out and give someone the opportunity to be kindgrin

Is it a coincidence that This Country series three starts tonight?!

Took GS to local dog and cat home with a large bag of blankets and towels for the animals and we said hello to them all.Think that counts a good deed and a trip out for GS.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 17-Feb-20 16:55:00

Yes I have done my random act of kindness.

SueDonim Mon 17-Feb-20 19:54:22

I think random acts of kindness can be for any day, not just today! smile

I didn’t get a chance to do a RAK today but I did compliment the assistant in M&S on her splendid nail polish. She thanked me and then showed me the nail she’d just broken and we bonded over that for a few moments.

On the spur of the moment this afternoon I invited my boyfriend to come to my house for his evening meal. He only usually joins me for a main meal on a Sunday. I only had to put a pizza and some chips in the oven and do some salad. An easy meal but he enjoyed it.
