I did think that the simplest way for this to be run was for each person on the list to be given a reference number which they could then use to access a slot for grocery delivery. No real confidentiality would then be breached.

Out of interest, is it not a gross breach of confidentiality for a government to be supplying supermarkets with a list of vulnerable people?

I know they've been ordered to delete the information once the crisis is over, but still....

I haven’t seen it - were any questions asked about why the Scots Govt have yet to supply supermarkets with lists of vulnerable people, like England has? The supermarkets can’t prioritise those with greater need for online deliveries in Scotland because they don’t know who they are.

I’ll see if I can find it online somewhere - it does seem strange that Scottish businesses are being put at such a disadvantage.

I think with the exception of business grants and rates relief for small businesses, leisure, and retail, all support is available throughout the UK.

I know NS divides opinion on GN but did seem to answer everything that was asked of her, with no humming & hawing and repeating of slogans, etc.

And I've just heard her Welsh equivalent, Mark Drakeford, on the World at One, equally articulate and to the point, say that he too is still answering questions to his assembly.

I'm just wondering why currently Westminster is answering to no-one apart from the dire evening press briefings.

Jane10 I noticed that earlier on, the internet was full of a lot of angry people.

There's plenty she needs to answer including why she isn't passing on the UK government's support for business. There are furious people raging about that up here.
