I've been up since 05.15 and thoughts are turning to breakfast - had an Ocado delivery yesterday so have much to choose from! smile

Smoked salmon & scrambled egg, or a crispy bacon sarnie, a big omelette, oh, choices hmm

Enjoy your final choice Riverwalk.
Mine will be porridge and yoghurt with a cup of tea.

Hetty58 Fri 08-May-20 07:08:30

Tea and toast - never very interested first thing, about 5.30 am. A second breakfast about 10 am.

grandMattie Fri 08-May-20 07:21:24

I’d have the bacon sarnie, don’t like eggs much.
Normally have porridge or cereal with fruit depending on season. Defcaff coffee. Although I’m generally up from 5 ish, I always wait for DH.

Overnights Oats about 8.30am, with berries, yoghurt and of course Oats smile

Bellasnana Fri 08-May-20 07:28:38

Can’t face breakfast until around lunchtime, then it will be weetabix with a banana and honey.

kittylester Fri 08-May-20 07:30:18

GF cornflakes as usual.

But,bad a butcher delivery yesterday so maybe bacon or sausage sandwich at lunchtime!

tanith Fri 08-May-20 07:34:24

Bran flakes and raspberries or fresh pineapple my usual.

Marydoll Fri 08-May-20 07:38:04

Home made English muffin, but unsure what to have with it.
Just having a cuppa and Abernethy biscuit in bed, brought by DH.
Breakfast is my least favourite meal of the day.

I settled for smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, plus a double-shot espresso with hot milk - I'm firing on all cylinders!

Gawd, it's only 8 - I'll be thinking about lunch by 11.00.

jusnoneed Fri 08-May-20 08:42:31

Don't often eat breakfast (agree with you Marydoll), and never anything cooked apart from a slice of toast, but this morning I used half a small pot of left over natural yogurt (from making butter chicken) and a couple spoonfuls of the first rhubarb of the year which I pulled in the garden a couple days ago and stewed.
If I ate a big cooked breakfast that would finish me for the day, wouldn't want to move.

Witzend Fri 08-May-20 08:48:09

Don’t really have breakfast as such - more a brunch type thing.

I’m off bread at the moment so yesterday it was a slightly over ripe banana, sliced with lemon juice on (to use it up), an avocado that needed using up, just with vinaigrette, and the very last remains of a joint of roast pork, all fat cut off and put on the bird table.

It’s not usually such a weird mix!

Puzzler61 Fri 08-May-20 08:48:41

Same as every day, weetabix with warm milk and fresh blueberries and a cup of mint tea.
Always the same unless I’m on hols. in a hotel.

kittylester Fri 08-May-20 08:56:16

puzzler61, now I want kippers!

Maggiemaybe Fri 08-May-20 09:26:10

Oo, kippers!

My breakfast chef normally makes anything from boiled eggs to the full English. Today he’s still snoring and I’m starving (and lazy), so I’m just about to leap out of bed and have a couple of Weetabix, followed by toast with the blackberry, rhubarb and licquorice jam my lovely friend left on the doorstep the other day.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 08-May-20 09:27:35

Yes we have kippers once a week, but today it was two pieces of back bacon and egg on toast. Orange juice and coffee.

TwiceAsNice Fri 08-May-20 09:30:44

I try to follow a low carb diet so never have breakfast as it lengthens the fasting time between evening meal and lunch . I’ve reversed my diabetes doing this so won’t go back to eating in the morning. Once at the weekend we have a brunch time fried breakfast as a treat

kittylester Fri 08-May-20 14:18:42

I only have kippers in a hotel.

Barmeyoldbat Fri 08-May-20 14:23:47

Don't bother much with breakfast but if I do its weetabix and blueberries plus a cup of coffee.

Alishka Fri 08-May-20 14:25:44

Ooh! kippers! Not those boil in the bag travesties with their pat of butter, but PROPER kippers with those glassy sightless eyes staring up at you = food of the the Gods!

BBbevan Fri 08-May-20 15:48:13

We usually skip breakfast as we do 16:8. But we have it on Saturdays and Sundays. Always as low carb as possible. So tomorrow it is scrambled eggs and asparagus. DH will have toast also. Sunday it is yogurt and berries for me and croissants with ham and cheese for DH .

paddyanne Fri 08-May-20 17:19:43

I have breakfast around 1pm its always porridge and fruit ,then dinner about 6.30 .Nothing except hot drinks after that

kittylester Fri 08-May-20 18:00:37

Alishka that's why I have them in a hotel! I love proper kippers.

rubysong Fri 08-May-20 20:28:31

Porridge in winter then meusli once the clocks change. On Sunday it is egg on toast, scrambled, boiled or poached.
Always eaten in bed with a cup of tea and this tablet to check emails, FB and GN.

Happygirl79 Fri 08-May-20 20:59:09

Old fashioned thick cut smoked bacon.. Ideally streaky bacon sandwich in a soft bread roll with coffee
