Have you ever noticed how we habitually do things the same way and in the same order?

The other morning I decided to experiment; I would usually get dressed in a particular way, often without thinking beyond what to actually wear. I had great fun putting clothes on in a totally different order!

Try it, it might just brighten your day!

O.K. I'll give it a go... But I refuse to wear my knickers outside my trousers! grin

??? Why ever not???!!! I'm sure you know what I really meant, maybe I wasn't quite clear enough. I would normally put on my knickers, then bra, then socks, then jeans or leggings then my top followed by brushing my hair. For a bit of fun I tried putting on just one sock then my bra, then I brushed my hair, then put on my knickers, then put on my second sock ................. I really had to focus on exactly what I was doing. Admittedly, I took a little longer but it was very entertaining! Have fun GNetters!

I think I’d end up going out without The various items on, id have forgotten my knickers and probably only had one sock.
At my age routine is the only way I get jobs done properly.

I think it's supposed to open up new neural pathways, but I get lost on the pathways I've already got! wink

What?! Surely the order of getting dressed is enshrined in law? I couldn’t physically bring myself to do bra before knickers, for starters. My brain would surely explode. grin

??? too many rhubarb gins last night, have no idea where my bra is, could have flushed it down the loo, laundry basket next to the loo, wouldn’t be for the first timeblush

I remember when my daughter was about 3 and I took her to do her first ballet exam. She had dressed herself that morning and just as we got there, she said that she hadn't got any knickers on. Luckily, there was a Tesco nearby so I had to rush over and buy her some!

I'm going to start this idea tomorrow , my neural pathways need sweeping !

Something like that happened to me quizqueen. My daughter was 5. She was perfectly dressed in her school uniform, and dutifully went to the toilet before going to school. For reasons known only to her, she used to take her knickers off to go to the toilet.
Anyway, we got to school, and as she was getting out of the car, said she had forgotten to put her knickers back on.
Her little brother and I had arrangements in the opposite direction, so I couldn't go back to school with her underwear. She had to manage all day without.

Going back to the OP.,
I'll have to try putting things on your n a different order. It will feel very peculiar.
