I was wondering if anyone can help with this question I am looking at the clothes on Bon Marche website and I have no idea of their sizing I'm a 6 to 8 and I can only see 10 on their website.

I would like to know if they come up big or small I don't want to mess around ordering and sending them back, is the quality good they're very reasonably priced.
I am thankful if anyone can help

from my experience with Bonmarche the quality is good as the clothes I have bought wash well and keep their shape.

Their trouser sizing is the best ever and goes down to 25 inch leg lengths in some styles. I'd not buy a 10 trouser from Bonmarche if I were a size 6-8.

Their sizing is similar to M and S sizing except for M and S 'relaxed fit' which is distinctly baggy.

If I were a size 6-8 I'd not buy a size 10 from any clothes shop unless I wanted a baggy fit. For instance I always get a huge dressing gown as I like it wrapped around me.

Thanks Alexa that's answered my question but I do have to get a 10 from some places because of the different sizing from place to place
It's a shame Bon Marche don't do smaller than 10 they must be missing out on that

mary294 I find with high st shops that my size 16 tops are too “snug” and often 18 is just too big. I find BM size 16 tops a perfect fit. I bought several last year during their sale and they wash and wear well.

Unfortunately for you that might mean you’d find size 10 oversized. Maybe worth a try to be sure. The price and quality are very good. I prefer them to other high st retailers.

I don't know these sizes at all. Once upon a time I used to buy a size 13 in trousers from M&S and they were perfect.
Now, a size around a 12 are too tight round the waist and an equivalent 14 is too big so I haven't a clue about sizes now.

In the day when Bon Marche had shops I tried on a bra, my usual size and I could not fix it because it reached my sides only.

I have bought nightdresses there- they are excellent quality and have lasted me for years. I buy the marginally more expensive because I want them below my knee and one size larger so I have room to move.

I have many tops from there I buy a size 18 and it is a perfect fit for me giving me plenty of room. I did not realise they did not sell small sizes.

I find Bon Marche has a more generous cut than other shops and I tend to buy a size smaller there. They do larger sizes but not small, though their leg lengths are short.

I believe they only start at a size 10 don't they? They are generously sized, I wouldn't buy from them if I was smaller than a size 10 .

I find Bon Marche to be excellent value and quality, but I also find the fit is on the generous size. I am a size 12 and everything fits well, but although they have loads of bigger sizes the don’t seem to cater for the more petite lady.

Well today I measured my waist?
I can’t remember the last time that I did and I’m not looking to repeat the experience any time soon.

I buy size 12. God knows how I get into anything that I buy.
I used to buy size 12 when I had a 24in waist.

PamelaJ1 That was a different size 12! That was when I used to have a 32" bust. A 12 is several sizes larger now.

I haven't measured my waist for ages. Much too depressing. I wear elastic waisted skirts and trousers from M&S. a 16 or 18 is fine. Then I bought an M&S skirt with a non elasticated waist and had to buy a size 22! Won't be doing that again.

Thank you all very much for your help it's very much appreciated, such a shame about the sizing in Bon Marche I think they're missing a trick there
Many thanks to everyone

Hope you pick up on this Mary. I buy clothes from BM and Cotton traders. Same quality and approximate price. Noticed some clothes are in size 8. Hope that helps.
