Really fed up today, no motivation although so much to do.Going for a haircut soon maybe I will feel better.

I know exactly how you feel east12. I've had a couple of wobbles since lockdown and yesterday was one of them. It must have been National Fed Up Day I think because I had a few calls from friends who were all feeling the same way. I think the perpetual rain and dire weather isn't helping either. Having a haircut to look forward to will raise your spirits, I'm sure and you'll feel a bit happier and more positive after that. For me, it was suddenly being told that the GC were coming to Grannies for tea, to play and a sleepover. Today looks much brighter. One day at a time east12! smile

east12, if I feel that way, I curl up with a good book or watch a film, cook myself a nice treat - or have a nap, why not? All that stuff to do (apart from the haircut) can just wait for another day.

I felt the same yesterday, not much better today. Must be something in the air!! ?

Think a lot of the anxiety/wobbles come from the fact we are expected to return to some normality in what is a crazy world!

maybe it's the rainy weather?Things always look better on a sunny day. It's been a difficult time for everyone lately, but hope your new haircut cheer you up.

I need motivation to tackle the ironing pile, I may promise myself a bag of maltesers.

Me too, Mancjules.

grin lemongrove. When you've finished yours you can come and do mine. Sorry, got no Maltesers.

I think it's the weather this week getting us down. I need a good push. Can't be ar..d to do much.

I just planted out some veg but only did half of them as it's become very humid here.
So I only had a very small bar of chocolate.

Callistemon Wed 08-Jul-20 15:14:56

But cheer up, we'll all be able to go out for a half price meal soon.

Although I am supposed to stay in until more than halfway through August.
How does that work, then, Rishi?

Whitewavemark2 Wed 08-Jul-20 15:18:44

callistemon if I read it right half of up to £20.

You wouldn’t miss fish and chips would you? I can’t think of anything cheaper

FarNorth Wed 08-Jul-20 15:21:52

mancjules you're right.

ExD Wed 08-Jul-20 15:23:55

We're all having these days just now. Even when you think you're dealing with CV and its restrictions - all our lives have been put on hold and the future looks hazy for everyone.
I'm usually cheerful and happy on my own, but every now and then I have a miserable day or two, I call it the Covid Blues.
I get plenty of rest, but I'm tired and sleepy - there just doesn't seem to be anything to look forward to does there?
Just this feeling of uselessness and lack of a future.

Well, it won't be posh nosh but some good pub meals can be had for that price.

If I am brave enough to go out amongst the throngs.

NotTooOld Wed 08-Jul-20 15:39:55

Exactly how I feel, ExD. Well put.

I have had some days when everything feels bleak. I know it will pass so I just accept it is one of my bad days.

toscalily Wed 08-Jul-20 17:41:10

Yes, I'm feeling a bit fed up too. Have found some things to do but have spaced them out throughout the day trying to fool myself that I'm busy and productive. We have had so many wet, windy days lately and even today although not raining it is grey and dreary. I definitely feel better when the sun shines. I look forward to going out for a meal but think we will wait a bit longer to see how it all progresses now the restaurants have opened.

BlueBelle Wed 08-Jul-20 18:20:30

I ve returned to normality (back to work) but it’s so un normal it’s quite depressing really everything is so clinical and sparse It’s better than being at home for sure but somehow so far from what it was that I wonder if it will ever feel ‘right‘ again

Been feeling that way also east12 think what’s going on gets us all like that now and then. Out of blue my eldest son phoned last week and said him and his family would like to visit Saturday so spent a really lovely day with him his wife and three grandchildren, really lifted our spirits , now just need to see my youngest son. Also got hair appointment to look forward to on Friday , hope yours goes well and lifts your spirits
