It's time to dump the Covid belly & shape up. Help me with your best healthy breakfast & lunch ideas.

One I saw & have tried after watching the Michael Moseley programme the other night is low fat cottage cheese with a little cinnamon stirred through, with a small handful of blueberries and a few walnuts or almonds. Its delicious and keeps me full for ages

I just have 2 weetabix with fruit about 11, then a balanced dinner.

Fruit and yogurt or a poached egg on one small piece of gf toast for breakfast.

Salad for lunch.
Or poached egg on toast if not for breakfast.
Or beans on one round of gf toast.

The first fortnight is great, then it all slows down.

I wake up at 5.30-6 every day. Yoghurt & fruit would keep me going until 10am. I need to last until 1pm.

A very small portion of porridge berries few walnuts tbs yoghurt. Lunch boiled egg spinach and one small slice wholemeal toast. Or soup, beans or avocado with toast. Piece of fruit mid afternoon. This plus a sensible dinner with very small portion of carbs. But don't forget to treat yourself one day a week.

Mary I wake up then as well.
But I manage to go back to sleep for a couple of hours, probably the best two hours sleep I get!
So yogurt at 8.30 sees me through; it's not a little pot of yogurt, it's fresh fruit and Greek yogurt.

My favourite breakfast -
Mashed banana
2 or 3 Oatibix or Weetabix
Ground almonds sprinkled on
Raisins (soaked overnight)
Soya milk or almond milk

(Use other fruit, as available)

I find overnight oats keeps me going for hours. I/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup soya milk ( or any kind), 1/2 cup berries ( fresh or frozen) or any other fruit, 1/2 a banana and a dollop of 0% sugar Greek yogurt.

Porridge made with almond milk, banana or berries, non dairy yoghurt and chia seeds. Green tea, orange juice. Lunch- Peanut butter sandwich with loads of salad or hummus. Sustaining and filling.

I have an omelette with tomatoes for breakfast and full fat cottage cheese with green salad for lunch , plus an orange and apple .
Dinner is fish based with veggies, salad , rice , stir fry combinations followed by kefir and berries, fresh or frozen.

Based on advice from Michael Mosley I have lost 10.5 lb lockdown weight in 7 weeks without dieting.

Have been having half a bottle of wine over the weekends.

I forgot the chocolate- 85% dark Green and Blacks , 6 squares most days mid afternoon with a coffee .

Porridge is quite sustaining but not particularly appetising. I prefer Greek yoghurt with fruits, particularly bananas, some hazelnuts and a drizzle of honey.

My husband swears by scrambled eggs on toast to get him through a round of golf till about 2 pm. Dietary advice usually backs up the sustainability of eggs, sadly of late they make me feel queasy.

You wouldn't be writing an article by any chance ? I have seen a few newspaper articles that read as if they came straight out of a forum.

Another Michael Moseley fan here. Lost over a stone and a half in spring, now on the maintenance diet. Basically the 5:2.
Overnight oats, Greek yogurt and some fruit is a good sustaining breakfast. When I want a change, two men on a raft. ?
