Start the day with an hour or two walk.

Lie on the floor to start a yoga class and go to sleep. Works wonders.

Mary are our ideas helpful?

Have you tried any of them yet?

Because I’m willing to Research (after my birthday yesterday) Whether or not a bottle of fizzy wine and a bar of chocolate will pep me up.

Let me know and I’ll try it and take notes.

Phoenix. My DGD has just caught the riding bug so I find myself at the stables thinking about being a volunteer or having. some lessons. Yesterday she walked up the stalls saying hullo to the ponies and stroking their foreheads. Magic.
Putting some makeup on and going out for a walk helps pep me up.

Walk! Get a fit bit or step counter and set a goal.

I walk every day and try to get 7500 steps. I sit at work in front of a computer all day, so it is difficult to get that many steps in Mon- Fri. I make sure to park farther away from the office, and as soon as i get home I change my shoes and collect the dog for a 30 min walk. Also try to get in one good hill in the walk (we have several in our town so this is not an issue.)

Walking also helps clear the mind.

I’ve made myself a chocolate fudge cake, everyone is on a diet I might have to eat most of it myself.
But, am I downhearted? Nope.
Anyway I’m only slightly too short for my weight.

I was full of get up and go this morning, the Amazon guy rang the doorbell at 7.15 am, that’s the way to,get your heart racing. By the time I’d realised that the bell wasn’t a part of a dream, he had long gone and left the package on the step.

I like Joe Wicks too, but have to mute him.

My weakness is Vanilla Fudge - ate a whole box of it this afternoon and feel fat and guilty

I've gone back to riding after a 30 year break!

Did a 1 hour hack, which went quite well, then have been having half hour private lessons, which have been hard work!

Loving it, I'm (gradually) getting more supple, the instructor has said that much of the old stuff, correct posture etc is still there.

I hadn't been taking any exercise, apart from walking, and although swimming is always recommended, I loathe it!

Exercise only works if you actually enjoy it, so it's a pleasure, not a chore.

I like watching Joe Wicks

Chewbacca I love it grin. I need to lose a few stone. My BP is normal (not on any tablets), my cholesterol is 3.2, so it's low. I'm healthy, but fat.

I'd like to lose weight in order to feel more comfortable and to look better. I eat healthy, home-cooked meals, but then spoil all that by having sweet stuff (8 Jaffa Cakes after my dinner tonight).

Callistemon I love it grin
Having had practically no exercise since lockdown and also needing to lose some excess flesh, I have begun to walk with a friend for about an hour and a half every 3 days.
To begin with I kept stopping to get my breath but I really enjoy feeling fitter. I don't know about losing the rolls of fat but I am trying to follow Callistemon's Day 1. with added wine

I've cut out sugary food and gone Low carbohydtrate over the last few months and feel much better for it.
I'm sleeping better, feel less stressed and my skin has improved too. I've lost about 9lbs in weight so I would recommend it as a way of life, not a quick fix Diet.

I’m like Chewbacca but I like reading diet recipes that (apparently) will kick start my day.

Then I watch the exercise videos.

After that I watch YouTube videos of exciting hobbies that will give my life meaning.

Then I just watch the telly with my feet up.

The days just whizz by......

MaryTheBookeeper Thu 20-Aug-20 20:26:43

Not quite what I had in mind,,,grin

Chewbacca Thu 20-Aug-20 20:20:48

I like watching excercise videos. I don't participate at all, but I feel much better just watching them work up a sweat, whilst I eat hobnobs.
