I haven’t been able to find Tizer in the shops for a long time just wonder if anyone could let me know if they see it in any of the supermarkets. I love Tizer so thought I’d treat myself as I’ll be on my own for Christmas so thought I’d splash out ??

Amazon have it in stock, but in cans.

There are bottles of it on the Morrison's site.

“Tizer. The appetiser”! Takes me back! It was the soft drink at one time, along with lemonade and dandelion and burdock.

I love Vimto. It’s my grandchildren’s drink of choice also. I hadn’t realised they were still making it till they started drinking it.

Anyone remember cherryade? - we used to open a bottle of it on Christmas Eve - we knew how to live! grin

Schweppes ginger beer for me. ?

Cherryade's still going strong Lucky. Our daughter buys it regularly.

My drink of choice at the moment is dandelion and burdock. I bought some pop a year or so ago and now I buy it as a cordial. It’s my guilty pleasure and I have a small glass of it every night. One week the shop didn’t have any in stock so they sent me sarsparrella (what the tee total cowboys used to drink). I didn’t like it at first but it grew on me. Tastes a bit like tcp.

They sell Tizer in our local post office/convenience store. The shop is under the name of Premier. May be worth looking in the smaller stores. (It always reminds me of fish and chips at home in the sixties. We always had a bottle of Tizer to wash them down). Hope you find some Tanith.

Alima, same memory here. Saturday night, fish and chips for supper and a can of Tizer to wash it down.

I remember the stone bottles of dandelion and burdock and sarsparilla. Dad used to fling the bottle on his shoulder and pour it upside down somehow.

As a youngster, friends and I used to go swimming after school. There was a temperance bar around the corner from the pool, where the owner used to make his own sarsperilla, dandelion and burdock and cordials, or he’d serve hot vimto, or Bovril. The sarsperilla was delicious - I don’t remember it tasting like TCP?.

I have never tasted Tizer.

If I fancy something sweet and fizzy, then its usually Irn Bru.

My drink of choice at the moment is lime cordial and soda water/lime and soda.

I mentioned it to the shopkeeper and he said the taste that makes me think it’s antiseptic is cloves. Maybe it’s something to do with my tastebuds. Red bush tea tastes like tcp to me as well but I got to like the taste of that, too.

My gran always had Tizer and Jusoda but never at home. Our treat was dandelion and burdock on a Sunday delivered in one of those big stone jars.
As a teenager I drank hot Vimto until I discovered that was what was causing my cystitis !?
