Any suggestions please I've got an old Samsung Mobile at the moment. I don't need an iPhone probably a smart phone. My old phone won't even download the new whats app!
Any ideas and where is the best place to buy one?

I have a Samsung, nanabird, and it's just as good as an iphone. Iphone is the market leader but not necessarily any better than, say, a Samsung. I can't comment on other makes as I have not had one, but my Samsung is great. It's my third one and I've had it a couple of years now, so not the latest model - I think it's a J3 - but it will cope with the NHS Covid19 app, no problem. It came from Tesco.

I got my brilliant samsung from a very helpful guy in the EE shop he transferred all my pictures from my old phone and its so simple to use.

Thank you both!

Mine’s a Samsung J3 too. I’ve had it nearly 3 year’s now and the battery is still fine. I scoured the internet and got it new for £150. I also went sim only and pay BT £6 a month.it does everything I need with a pretty good camera, internet, email and I have several apps including the NHS Covid 19 app. Hi

Mine is a Samsung A20, I bought it from Amazon and transferred my SIM from my old A10.
All my apps were automatically changed over in 20 minutes.
DH was convinced I couldn't do it!

Mine is a Motorola6. It has accepted the new NHS Covid app without any trouble. I bought the phone from Amazon and got a new micro sim card from Virgin as part of my existing contract. It seamlessly shares photos and documents with my Acer Chromebook.

I've had a few Samsungs always very reliable and easy to operate

Samsung here too.Bought from John Lewis and a last years model, much cheaper than a current one.
I have sim only with O2.
Very happy with it.

That is totally misleading, I bought it from Argos, who delivered it the same day.
My older model IPad was from John Lewis.

I love Samsung too. I have a J6 bought cheaply with a £6 a month SIM. It has the latest operating system and so can handle new apps.

Pittcity Thu 24-Sep-20 21:30:51

I bought from Amazon unlocked and just transferred my existing SIM.

I love my HTC U11, not many people think of HTCs, but I wouldn't have anything else.

My first phone was the one that followed the eighties 'brick,' so loved by the Yuppies. It's about the size of a large bar of chocolate. Barclaycard supplied it, they had a tie in with Alcatel, the manufacturer.

It became redundant when digital replaced analogue. Well the model became redundant, but mine still works. Our computer expert took it away, had a look at it and said that he could put the workings of a digital phone inside the casing. I agreed his price and it works a treat. Only phone and text but it will receive photos. I can't send one of course because there's no camera. The battery takes up about three quarters of the phone and the sim card is credit card size. You should see the stares when I use it in public.

well, I bought an alcatel android google phone , my first 'screen phone. I would be talking to a person I'd phoned and it would randomly start ringing someone else in my contact list cutting me off from my call!! was told I was doing it with my face! Have gone back to old phone for calls now just using new one for online!
