Red wine and glasses set - where to buy?

It is the 50th birthday soon of one of our favourite sons in law and we'd like to buy him some red wine and nice glasses - does anyone have any ideas where we might find something?

I've Googled before anyone suggests that. I might not be asking the correct question obviously.

Thank you!!

Just had a quick look, John Lewis have some attractive sets of 4, various prices.

Kitty. If he likes red Italian wine, I’d go to Bat & Bottle wine merchants in Melton. The owner has great wine knowledge and delivers next day.
I’d second glasses from John Lewis. Sounds like a lovely present.

Thank you. I was hoping for a sort of gift set - wine and glasses, similar to ones that one can get with whisky!

Oooh, Oakham, J52 - so near and yet so far!!! I even went to Oadby on Sunday! grin

This company has good trustpilot reviews and the wine label can be personalised for your SIL.

PS there are choices for glasses to be plain, or engraved on a drop down menu.

Just a thought .... Will the tall glasses fit his shelf height? Nothing worse than any items you can't put away (if you want to) because they're too tall for the display or kitchen cupboards!

Gift sets are more common in the run-up to Christmas, but Fortnum’s might have something!

Have you thought of Laithwaites?
Nice customer service help with gifts.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 25-Feb-21 10:35:00

Try Fortnum & Mason or Harrods, they both do mini wine/glass hampers all year round under normal circumstances.

I was going to suggest Laithwaites, have used them quite a few times. Marks and Spencer also have them.

Missfoodlove thanks for that link, what a broad range. Love the Roda set, but would happily settle for the Portia one grin
