A dad's relationship to his autistic son. This is a lovely blog post.

Is that the chap who took his son on a long trek where he really seemed to bond with the horse, or am I confusing him with someone else?

That is a lovely blog, and proves how much we can learn if we just make the time to listen. Great for dad good for his son, and may they continue to share the simple pleasure of riding on trains for a long time to come.

What an amazing piece of prose.More so the true dedication of this father to his Autistic Son. Sadly, in my experience as a worker and now a volunteer in the world of Autism, so many fathers, and very occasionally, mothers ,cannot accept the many and varied challenges of raising such a child, or children, and leave the family altogether. So many Mums are left to cope alone. A VERY difficult life for those affected.
