I'm hoping this is in the right place and hasn't been posted elsewhere.
Has anyone else read the Julian Barnes - The Sense of an Ending? I'm not a huge Booker prize fan and only read one or two of the books - three of this year's shortlist - but I thought this was a wonderful book and he deserved to win.

I have it on my list to read next, I am really glad he won. I loved Flaubert's Parrot and Arthur and George. I am not a great Booker Prize fan but one or two of them this year look good.

I have amazing Ds-i-L and one, in particular, is a superb present giver, and one Christmas gave me the full set of Booker nominees; I wouldn't have bought a lot of them, but because I had them, I read them. Such a treat, and so good for me to learn that I should TRY! Which means I should give Julian Barnes a chance....again.

Try the new one and Arthur and George. Ariadne. What a great present, did you get through them all, I really love that idea.

Oh yes, I did! It's worth going on "The Book People" website; they have real bargains in collections of books - like the Orange prize list.

When I was off sick, the colleague who took over my job put a box in the stateroom marked "Books for xxxx". That was a learning curve!

Agree - a good read and a worthy winner.
