has anyone read this book

Im an avid reader and I keep books that I like for years just to read them again. I gave away a just such a book and wish I could find another copy.

This is roughly the story: Daisy and her mum live in post WW2 Bolton and they are running the bakery for the dad who was killed in the war, they are both exhausted and have a day out in Blackpool where the mother dies as she sits on the beach. Daisy is quite well off as she inherits the business and a healthy saving account from her parents .She buys a boarding house in Black pool and takes her friend to run it (Flo).
They have lots of troubles building up clientele, Flo is killed by a tram and Daisy takes two lodgers to help out with winter income. She marries one of them, a teacher.
A follow up book sees her husband die and she ahs two kids but I cant remember anything else.
Can anyone tell me the title and/or author and I will look on e bay etc.
