Make Your Own Zoo by Tracey Radford

Great to win this lovely book. I've started collecting loo rolls etc and my eldest granddaughter (5) and I are looking forward to starting our zoo. Beautiful pictures throughout and clearly explained definitely requires grown up participation and why not!

I won this book on Gransnet and my three grandsons, ages 11, 9 and 5 were fascinated by the pictures and variety of animals to make and they were very keen to start building the zoo. We tried the egg box animals using recycled card egg boxes. We found the egg boxes very difficult to cut, even using very sharp scissors and our animals turned out out very small - about 4cms tall. All three boys enjoyed painting and decorating the animals. I was visiting them for a few days and we didn't have time to try any of the other animals. I think the book is a great craft book for children but younger ones definitely need supervision to complete the zoo.
