We do like the book

Big sigh here from me! GS loved the book when he was small, along with The Tiger Who Came to Tea, but now we have to watch and rewatch scary Harry Potter and Percy Jackson Lightening Thief! I'll watch Bear Hunt though ?!

So pleased you other GNetters will join me and the boys this Xmas to watch the film.

We may not be watching at the same time - (out visiting) but please could you have the hot chocolate and mince pies ready just in case NanKate , I'll bring the mulled wine!

This always brings back the memory of asking children for their own ideas for problems when "going on a bear hunt" and getting told "shopping trolleys". We decided shopping trolleys went "grumble, squeak "as you tried to get through them. Signs of an urban childhood! Bet that's not in the film!

why dont they show the film at a more suitable time, 7-30 pm is rather late for the little ones.

I agree Mumsy. In fact we won't be watching it in real time either, but it is something I will have up my sleeve for when the boys are on overload and I am too

I will of course be holding a virtual party for grans/nans/grandpas/etc so Jalima your hot choc and mince pies will be waiting and any reasonable requests from the rest of you.
