August book - The Cactus - where to sign up please?

Yes...every month we run the giveaway element from midway through the month before (so for the August book club we promote from mid July). We then close it towards the end of the month so that the publisher can get the books sent out to the winners before the start of 'their' month. So yesterday we sent over the winners' names (very slightly earlier than normal because holidays meant otherwise the books wouldn't reach people in time)

We always feature the giveaway in our newsletter and on our books page so it's basically a case of strike while the iron is hot. However we will be promoting the chance to win our September book from the middle of August so keep your eyes peeled - it's a good one!

I don’t understand it either Grannyknot, have been all through form cannot see August book club, the whole forum is over complicated so now I can’t be arsed.

Hi Hillwalker - we promote the page (not a thread on the forums but a content page) from the middle of the month before - on our home page, our books index page and in our newsletter) The giveaway element lasts for about ten days (we close it to get the books out in time) - once it's closed we remove the entry form from the page but keep the page as it offers lots of information about the book. We always get far more entrants than we have books so winners are drawn at random.
