I noticed the above advertised today. I love the Jackson Brodie books and anything by Kate Atkinson so am looking forward to reading it.

Me too, thanks for the tip off Jane!

I've read about it, it's been a long wait for the new Jackson Brodie. Usually love her books, but didn't like "Transcription" at all, probably the only book of hers I haven't enjoyed. However, look forward to this one.

Good news!

I've started it. I'm not keen on crime novels usually but I love her character descriptions. I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I have started it, but oddly, am not grabbed by it (yet)
I think my trouble is that I have become so familiar with Cormoran Strike, I need to remind myself this is JB. not CS!

I loved the Jackson Brodie books. I also loved the tv series based on them, with the gorgeous Jason Isaacs. I thought he made a perfect Jackson Brodie.
I can't wait to read this new book.

I agree Cheesey, Jason Isaacs was perfect casting for Jackson. I missed Transcription coming out but I loved her previous books Life After Life and A God In Ruins. I have loved her books for years, since Behind The Scenes At The Museum in 1995.

I've read more of 'Big Sky' as I waited for my car to be MOT'd. Kate Atkinson is such a good writer. She has a wonderful turn of phrase and I often found myself laughing at how she'd put something. The characters continue to intrigue. The setting of Scarborough and the North East is interesting. So far so good.

Yes Jane10, she often makes me laugh as well, especially in the Jackson Brodie books. I’m looking forward to reading it. I usually can’t stop reading her books and then I’m sorry when I get to the end.

Me too. I love Kate Atkinson's Jackson Brodie books, but not always as keen on her other books. I can't wait to read "Big Sky". I agree with you MawBroonsBack, I love Cormoran Strike too.

Finished it!
Such an enjoyable book and yet again Kate Atkinson keeps all her plates spinning with consummate skill.
Nicely tied off threads at the end too.

It’s on my pile waiting to be read, I don’t allow myself to read them out of order, that would be cheating, and as it’s quite a big pile, it might take me a while to get to it, looking forward to it though
