Just wanted to recommend this book.

Saving Missy by Beth Morrey which I believe is only 99p (for a limited time) on Amazon kindle .

I can’t praise it enough. It’s about an elderly lady “Missy” who is saved from her miserable existence by a group of dog walkers and their friends. It’s a lovely gentle read and is quite uplifting and happy but sad in places too .

I read it in 3 sittings. Can’t wait to read more by this new writer .

Thanks gillybob
I need to go Kindle shopping again, but always get flummoxed by the choice.

I usually hesitate to recommend books because we all have different tastes but I promise you’ll love it Calli . I was hooked and didn’t want it to end.

Oh and there’s a twist that I didn’t see coming . (I’m not the brightest button in the button box mind you ) .

You won’t regret it Lucky smile

I've just downloaded it. Perfect timing as I'm about to finish the book I'm reading and was wondering what to read next!

Thanks gillybob

Thanks for the recommendation. I read in the bath so prefer a real book, so ordered a second hand one. It sounds the type of story that will be passed around friends and family and well worth the money.

Thank you. I could do with something gentle and uplifting, I will download it.

Do let me know what you think everyone . I wouldn’t normally recommend a book but just enjoyed this one so much I didn’t want it to end .

Thanks, gilly. I've added it to my kindle pile.

I've just started The Path to the Sea by Liz Fenwick so if it's another cold and wet day tomorrow I'll have a lazy reading day.

Callistemon Wed 29-Apr-20 17:22:48

I've just downloaded it, thanks gillybob.
Also some other free and 99p books

I've just started another one but will read Missy next.

The last one I read was by the author of The Single Ladies of Jacaranda Retirement Village, Joanna Nell, called The Last Voyage of Mrs Henry Parker.
I enjoyed that very much although it may not be everyone's choice.

I've just noticed The Wish List by Ruby Hummingbird when I went back to check and have downloaded that too.

All seem to be about old people!!

Oh my goodness Gilly, am so enjoying this book. Only half way through as only read in bed, and I am reading it quite slowly as I am relishing it! Best quid I’ve spent in a long time. Makes me wish I had a dog!

Callistemon Sun 03-May-20 22:06:23

I've just started it.
Looking forward to reading a bit more soon.
