Are you hard of hearing and living in Greater Manchester? If so, can you help with my survey?

Hello,

I am doing some research for a small charity into the services that are available for hard of hearing adults and their families in Greater Manchester. If you're hard of hearing and living in Greater Manchester, I wonder if you could help by filling in my survey here

We're also asking relatives of hard of hearing adults to fill in a survey as well, which you can find here. If you're hard of hearing and have a relative (spouse, partner, mother, daughter, sibling) who live in Greater Manchester, then their help would be much appreciated as well!

Both surveys take around 5 minutes and are both completely anonymous. For the purposes of the survey, we are defining 'hard of hearing' as people with hearing loss who use speech to communicate, rather than sign language.

Thank you very much to everyone who takes a few minutes to fill this in - it will really help us!

Hi Jeni
Can you tell me why you've reported my thread? I have checked with HQ and they advised me to post here. Is there a problem?

I am just checking hq have authorised it! There have been a lot of unauthorised entries recently. Ask the 'dawn patrol'

Ah ok! Well hopefully there's no problem but I guess if there is they'll pull the thread! I'm actually here from Mumsnet - I've posted there as well but I thought I might get more response over here. Thanks!

Perfectly innocuous survey - completed it in 2 minutes.

Join the club! Only no dh! I've just put a recording of midsummer murders on, one that I prepared earlier.

Thanks so much Carol.
I like it here, it's much quieter than the dark side! I might stay (I promise to behave myself!) grin

Yes, this one is OK, though we very much hope the dawn patrol will be keeping up the good work elsewhere thanks

For clarification - we are happy for registered charities to post requests of this kind, though we prefer them to check with us first, which SnowInFebruary did smile

It's the spamming/commercial posts that are a pain - and people treating us as if we're a giant research experiment. (It's a fine call when it comes to design students etc, though we have to draw the line somewhere and at the moment we're only helping registered charities. Otherwise we're going to start feeling like lab rats.)

SnowInFebruary - so glad you like it over here. We are immensely cilivilised (mostly) wine
