Some friends of mine have completed about 12 knitted blankets (size 3 feet by 4 )We used to send them to the charity Feed the Children but they have now closed and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about where these could usefully be used. They are extremely attractive and have been lovingly made. Any suggestion would be most welcome.
Thanks

try your local charity groups - I remember knitting bonnets for neo-natal babies, I don't think they'd accept blankets nowadays.

What about one of your local charity shops? If they were to promote then as new, handmade goods, they might sell like hot cakes! Perhaps your friends might even get orders for some more?

Try the Red Cross or Save the Children.

What about one of the organisations that deal with the homeless in large cities?

Many thanks for all your responses.I will follow them up and let you know how I get on. I will try the Salvation Army first as I know the Red Cross says it is too expensive to fly them out. With this cold weather we are having at the moment I do want to find them a home. They are doing no good at all in my bedroom!
