Hi everyone,

I'm Marie. I work at the environment charity Friends of the Earth. I just wanted to bring your attention to a new competition we're running for primary schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, to win solar panels!

Until 24 October 2014 anyone can 'nominate' a school for the chance to win. We'll let the school know they've been nominated, and ask them to enter the competition - we're looking for creative entries by the children showing why their school should have solar panels.

Maybe you'd like to nominate your grandchildren's primary school to enter? If you can find out the address of the school, just fill in quick details here: https://www.foe.co.uk/go/nominateschool.

Friends of the Earth's Run on Sun campaign aims to make it easier for all schools to install solar panels. Solar saves schools up to £8,000 a year - money that can be put back into education. Solar is good for the environment too, and it provides a great opportunity for children to learn about the value of clean energy. To find out more please see www.foe.co.uk/runonsun.

Thanks
Marie
