In no fixed order:
Receiving compliments gracefully
(Mostly) keeping my temper in check
Being patient
Trusting my own judgement
Problem solving based on experience
Tolerating other people's children
My job (also based on experience)
Accepting that there are other ways of doing things
Being confident when meeting new people
Complaining fairly and politely without embarrassment
Offering help where I see a need
Choosing clothes that suit my style rather than fashion (and damn the consequences)
Not giving up when I encounter a problem and finding new ways around it

Not taking myself too seriously
Considering the needs of others
Looking back and not being too hard on myself [for being foolish]
Waiting patiently and not getting in a huff!
Offering a helping hand and not expecting gratitude
Being comfortable with my own company
Being realistic and not expecting too much of others
Coping with disability and not belly-aching
Feeling comfortable with young people [thanks to grandchildren]
Feeling comfortable with elderly people [thanks to being one]
Counting my blessings

Infinitely more patience!
Comfortable with myself.
Enjoy my own company (mind doesn't happen often, retired husband!)
Appreciate the simple things in life lie the sunshine & birds in the garden.
Being able to laugh at myself and with others not at them!
Enjoying every day as much as I can because who knows what lies ahead.

And some of the above (no grandchildren)!
I've always said that each decade has it's advantages and I have found them in each one.

Am definately better at being more tolerant
Better at getting dressed...looking in the mirror and thinking.......'hell that'll have to do'
Better at looking at husband and thinking............'hell that'll have to do!'

Trusting my first instict with people I meet (has been proved many times over the years, when I should have taken heed and didn't).

More confident in myself.

glassortwo...I agree wholeheartedly with your comment. When young, I only ever wanted to see the best in others [in spite of often being nudged inwardly by this thing called "instinct" that told me otherwise] . Well, now I know better and I'm far happier for it. Always trust your instinct...it knows best!
