Wow, my six year old GS and I were so lucky this morning. We went to our local boot fair (a nice one that doesn't allow trade stalls) and did so well. We found a large army helicopter with soldiers included for £1 (£40 in the shops) and a fabulous wooden fort for £2.50p. He is one happy little lad, for the sum of £3.50p. Wish more people would recycle in this way. We look out for stalls with children a little older than him and know there should be stuff the right age for him. It does surprise me that there are so few children's books for sale. We were looking for more Beast Quest books, which he loves. You can usually find baby books but very few books for older children, especially boys. Most concerning. Must admit I avoid boot fairs that have lots of trade stalls. I like to support the families who are genuinely selling stuff so they can clear space for the next lot of toys etc.
