bagitha Tue 11-Oct-11 06:37:08

whisper .... *jangly* jingle .... it isn't "someone else". Been thinking about changing it for a while. Thanks for the idea. smile
Cheers, baggy bagitha

For the technophobes among us, how do you do it? I think it's about time I acquired a new persona grin

bagitha Tue 11-Oct-11 07:27:21

Good morning, gally. You have to unsubscribe from GN and then re-subscribe with your new name. Have fun! smile

jinglej Tue 11-Oct-11 09:23:00

Oh but you need to choose a new name that easily identifies you as you! Or we won't know who we're talking to.

It'll get like that Other Place. hmm

jinglej Tue 11-Oct-11 09:24:21

gally, you would have to be girly.

Or gaely for the Scottish thing. hmm

JosieGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 11-Oct-11 09:28:20

The de-registering way is certainly one way to change your name, but you can also email us at [email protected] and we'll see what we can do.

And then you don't have to lose all of your private messages etc.

jinglej Tue 11-Oct-11 09:34:14

Don't let 'em do it Jose. Its confusing. smile

jinglej Tue 11-Oct-11 09:35:51

Bags, I said something to you but I put it on the wrong thread. Look on the scratchy labels thread.

If you feel you can't miss it. smile

bagitha Tue 11-Oct-11 09:41:24

Wanting to lose certain private messages was one of my reasons for doing it, this time.

bagitha Tue 11-Oct-11 09:42:49

I know I could have just deleted them, but I needed to throw something, so to speak, and anyway, as I said, I always liked 'bagitha'.

Annobel Tue 11-Oct-11 09:45:38

Well, that's your third incarnation, Bagitha. What next?

jinglej Tue 11-Oct-11 09:47:05

Eh, Jose - you still there? I made my crumble with self-raising flour yesterday. It was lovely and light! Clever old Cari/Carie.

Gally Tue 11-Oct-11 12:12:25

Thank you josie - and of course Bagitha and jinglej. I am still debating my new monika and once I have decided will be in touch with GN.
Just attacking a huge pumpkin for soup - red raw hands and blisters appearing - but it will be worth it in the end hmm

Annobel Tue 11-Oct-11 12:29:34

And I've just sliced my thumb doing the same to a squash! Ouch. shock

Gally Tue 11-Oct-11 15:16:18

There must be a solution?? confused

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 11-Oct-11 15:36:59

jinglej - great trick eh? No more stodgy toppings. Once I tried I never went back

jinglej Tue 11-Oct-11 15:51:54

Ah, someone said something at last. It was beginning to echo around here.

Hello Cari. smile Yes, it is a good idea. smile

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 11-Oct-11 15:54:09

Ah it's all go here at GNHQ today. We have to work off the crumble after all

bagitha Tue 11-Oct-11 15:55:46

Do any of you ever put porridge oats in your crumble toppings?

nanachrissy Tue 11-Oct-11 16:06:55

I used to put muesli in my topping, nice and crunchy and a bit of dried fruit too.

bagitha Tue 11-Oct-11 16:08:21

Nice isn't it, chrissy? It was my Scottish mother-in-law who first gave me that idea.

grannyactivist Tue 11-Oct-11 16:26:42

My husband has porridge every morning for breakfast - and oats go into just about anything he can get away with, but always into the crumble topping. It's just delicious.

jinglej Tue 11-Oct-11 16:27:54

I will make another one now, adding oats.

I laugh in the face of fatness.

bagitha Tue 11-Oct-11 16:43:44

Just made some of my famous (yes it is!) flapjack. I added a couple of handfuls of blackberries that DD picked in the garden. I let the brambles grow in the hedge — helps keep the cows out — but I discourage them elsewhere. They're very persistent though. Just as well the fruit is nice. I'm taking a batch to the Quiet Corner, which is very quiet these days.
